New Zealand has moved into Alert Level Orange, but please continue wearing masks, getting tested for Covid and stay home if you are unwell.

Your doctor or nurse will continue to provide care for all issues, management of long-term conditions, mental health consultations, prescriptions of medication, childhood and adult vaccinations and the treatment of common illness. Patients will be referred to specialists and for other treatment if needed.

It is important to still contact your health professional or Healthline (0800 611 116) as you normally

would if you are unwell. You can access all the treatments, vaccinations and medicines you need to stay well, whether or not the care you need relates to COVID-19.

We encourage all our patients who are eligible to have the Covid vaccination and booster, but we are still here to care for you if you are not vaccinated.

Cervical and breast screening programmes will operate as usual.

For Covid swab testing if you are a Household contact or are mildly symptomatic, please contact your local CBAC. However if you feel unwell, please ring 04 939 1299 as usual.

Putting the health back into medicine

The World Health Organisation defines health as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease". At Manuka Health Centre, we believe nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress management underpin good health and we will work with you on these issues to improve your well-being and help to prevent future disease.

We offer traditional General Practice services including minor surgery, cervical smears, annual skin checks, immunisations and contraception alongside an integrated approach which may also include herbs, nutrients and complementary therapies.

Upstairs@Manuka we have a range of health practitioners offering NLP/Hypnotherapy, counselling, acupuncture, nutrition, confidence coaching ,ear health, chiropractice and functional medicine.

We  also offer Genomic testing to our patients with Fitgenes- please see tab under 'more' for information.
