Jody Burrell - Arts Therapist
Registered Arts Therapist (AThR)
Professional Member of the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Arts Therapy Association (ANZACATA)
Kia ora! I’m Jody.
I’m a registered clinical arts therapist.
Together, we can explore/uncover/acknowledge how you got to where you are, what may be blocking or interfering with you getting to where you’d like to be or what may need to be processed, unpacked, felt or seen in order to be here.
I find this mahi, of being with you and your stories to be an honour and a privilege.
I can offer talk-based and/or mixed modality Art Therapy, short or long term.
Arts therapy can mould to fit you – for some, that may be making art within the session to seek understanding and meaning or to find inspiration or flow, for others this may be using sensory or somatic tools to move through overwhelm or intensity, or perhaps this may be talking together while calling on imagination or imagery to support our exploration and find what is needed. Arts therapy allows us to co-create a process unique to you.
I’d be happy to have a chat with you to see if this feels like the right fit, or to answer any questions.
